Start/ Finish information.

Please see race day instructions page.

The race starts and finishes on Ham Hill and is based around the Ham Hill Centre building.

Most of the route is traditional and we plan to keep it identical to the 2008 version.

There are detailed directions in the downloadable runners instructions on The Route page but basically if you approach through Stoke sub Hamdon then you should turn up the hill by the Half Moon pub. Signs will be put up on the day.

As ever parking is a potential problem with 250 competitors. As you can see from the adjacent map there are a number of parking areas within a few minutes walk from the start. Please park tidily and car share if at all possible. Watch out for the parking marshals and obey their instructions. They will also be patrolling the car parks during the race on the lookout for thieves and vandals.

The landlord of the Prince of Wales pub is very supportive of the event and we ask all competitors to avoid parking in the pub car park. Sunday lunchtime is a busy time for the pub and the car park is for customers only.

Hot drinks and bacon rolls will be available before, during and after the race as last year.

There are toilets and limited changing facilities at the Ham Hill Centre but security is difficult and we cannot be resposible for items left in the building.

The Ham Hill Centre - Race Headquarters.

Start and Finish.

The race starting and finishing points are shown on the map above.

There will be a short race safety briefing outside the race HQ just before the start and then runners will be led to the starting point.

When you have finished please collect you Christmas pudding .

We will try and notify potential prize winners as they cross the line but if you believe you may be a category winner please stay for the presentations.
